I really don´t know where this year went to. It seems like only yesterday when we were celebrating the start of another year.
Does that mean we will be putting up that strange looking tree with all that shiny, glittering stuff and flashing lights again daddy?
An even worse; does that mean the night will be filled with terrible noise and bright, flashing lights as well?
In reply to your two questions; yes. It is indeed, that time of year again.
The time when that Jesus chappie has his birthday and all you folks make the sky fill up with smoke and noise.
They call that thingamabob the New Year Mr Midnight.
I´m sure you´ll both survive. Like every year, I will stay at home and look after you both. There really is nothing to worry about. You´ll just have to grin and bare it again I´m afraid.
Well, I´m getting used to it now but I also find it hard to believe that another year has passed us by.
I must have been sleeping half the time because I didn´t really notice how quickly life speeds on by.
I think you were sleeping three-quarters of the time Sir Winston. That´s why life passes us by so quickly.
The humans don´t sleep as much as us cats but many of them also seem to notice how quickly one of their years has gone by.
Perhaps that has something to do with the fact that we make too many appointments and most of us are generally, always on the run. We appear to have little time to enjoy life.
Modern humans seem to like stressy lives don´t they. I´m glad I´m a pussy cat this time around.
And that´s why we should all try to live our lives in the moment. If we did, I´m sure life would be that much more enjoyable. Us cats haven´t mastered the art yet but most cats certainly try to chill out in life.
The three of us wish to thank those of you who have followed and occasionally read a few of our blogs. We hope you find the time to slow down in your coming New Year and wish you all a very, merry christmas.
With love from Mr Midnight, Sir Winston, and myself.
